One is geotechnical investigation report and the other is foundation design calculations and plans.

The soils report for in ground solar panels involves taking soil borings, performing lab tests and preparing a geotechnical engineering report. This report discusses soil strength, seismic design and provides foundation design parameters.

The foundation plans and calculations take the reaction from the solar panel manufacturer, the soils report values and we prepare foundation plans and perform design calculations. The client will often have preference of pile foundation over shallow spread footings. We will provide both soils report & foundation design for solar projects anywhere in California.
